Not-entrepreneur things: Chairman of TOC for CNCF, the new Linux Foundation project for microservices & cloud native apps. Co-founder of Coed:Code, encouraging diversity in systems programming. Used to be very active in the cloud and web standards community: co-founder of CloudCamp, co-chair OCCI, member of AMQP working group, and contributor to PSHB.

Before all this, I was a quantitative trader in Fixed Income Derivatives Trading at Goldman Sachs (Arbitrage desk and Swaps desk). Before that I researched and taught mathematical logic and computer science at Oxford University. At one time I was a 2Lt in the RM.
