Adam is co-founder of Wrangle.io, a workflow engine built right inside of Slack. Wrangle helps companies make Slack more productive by driving faster decisions and ensuring no work slips through the cracks. We help users easily create and manage recurring approval workflows and help tickets from other teams in their busy Slack channels. With Wrangle, there are no more missed requests and no more nagging colleagues for updates.

Prior to founding Wrangle, Adam was COO at Automated Insights (Ai), a Natural Language Generation (NLG) company that turns data into human-sounding stories. Ai launched the first self-service NLG platform and was recognized by Forrester as the leader in the Natural Language Generation space. Automated Insights was acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners in 2015 and then again by StatsPerform in 2019.

Adam started working with Automated Insights as an advisor working directly with the solo-founder prior to funding and then joined the company as its first business hire. Adam helped lead three rounds of venture financing and the eventual strategic acquisition by Vista. Adam served as CRO and COO while at Ai, and led corporate strategy as well as the channel, sales, marketing, customer success, finance, and legal teams for the company.

Prior to joining Ai, Adam was SVP at Square 1 Bank, a venture bank where he served as Director of a National Division called Square Roots. Adam was recruited by Square 1 to design, develop and launch Square Roots, which focused on pre-vc startups. As part of the program, he worked one-on-one with hundreds of early-stage founders, serving as an advisor providing hands on support with strategy, product development and fundraising.

Prior to Square 1, Adam was Vice President of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), where he led the program team and was responsible for strategic relationships. While at CED, he led a team for The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation that authored the FastTrac TechVenture program, a world-renowned training and mentoring program for technology and life science entrepreneurs.

Adam has over 20 years of experience working as a mentor and advisor for technology entrepreneurs. He is heavily involved with the NC entrepreneurial community and a frequent speaker on business intelligence, fundraising, and startup topics.
