I'm passionate about building products and teams focused on solving big problems for people. Scenery.video is helping remote teams collaborate to create high quality video together.

I am a seasoned executive and entrepreneur, having co-founded and sold 2 technology companies to Twitter and Yahoo!, respectively, where I enjoyed product and management leadership roles. SnappyTV was founded in 2010 and grew profitably to 28 people before exiting to Twitter in July of 2014. Jumpcut was founded in Oct of 2005 and sold to Yahoo! in August 2006. I've learned how to understand market opportunities, create a vision and strategy to execute that vision and build teams that can flexibly pursue opportunities in competitive landscapes.

Jumpcut was a consumer online video editor and video sharing site. It was one of the first true web-apps built in flash to work entirely in the browser. We saw the same trends that Youtube saw with consumers starting to shoot photos and video on solid state memory devices (instead of tape) and predicted that they might want to share that video and collaborate to create better ones. I was the GM of video at Yahoo! leading a large team across different geographic locations.

SnappyTV is re-shaping how media companies and enterprises create and distribute digital video. It is also a cloud-based video editing suite but the insight here was to enable real time content production for the mobile, social audience. It turns out that being in the cloud, fast and easy actually is better than what Apple, Adobe and others have built on the desktop and most major media companies worldwide are now using SnappyTV in some way to produce digital content.
