I am a technical hands-on leader, passionate about investing in people, setting a bold vision, and executing on it with high functioning teams. I have been fortunate enough to be mentored by some of the most senior executives at Amazon.com and at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I led the successful integration of Elemental Technologies, a strategic acquisition for AWS to forge its M&E presence. I grew the engineering and product teams, launched 6 new AWS services, and proved Portland, OR as a tech hub for Amazon through rapid hiring at a high bar and execution. The AWS Elemental services now power some of the most visible live events and VoD libraries on the internet.

I am passionate about space! I won the NASA Early Career Medal for my contributions to Mars Rovers image processing and for being one of the earliest production users of Cloud Computing technologies. I continue to advise NASA JPL on edge computing (in space) and industry partnerships.
