Juxi's research work over the last 20+ years has been at the intersection of #Robotics, #ComputerVision and Artificial Intelligence (#AI) and has directly led to the breakthroughs in technology that LYRO is now deploying.
Before LYRO Juxi led the robotic #manipulation efforts of the Australian Centre of Excellence on Robotic Vision (ACRV) in Brisbane, Australia. He has a highly international and interdisciplinary profile, with work and study experiences at research institutions on three continents. Juxi has been in Australia for nearly 8 years, before that he was working at the Robotics Lab of the Dalle Molle Institute for AI (IDSIA). Prior to IDSIA, during a stint at the European Space Agency's Advanced Concepts Team, he contributed to crucial planning and progress around Space Security and AI in Space Applications.
He studied in the Joint European Master in Space Science and Technology (SpaceMaster) and was awarded a Master of Science (Space Science and Technology) and a Master of Science in Technology (Space Robotics). Juxi's background is in computer science -- he started programming in BASIC on an old Acornsoft in the late 80s, which led him on a path to creating internet-service companies before graduating from a vocational high school in informatics and receiving a BSc in Software and Information Engineering (TU Wien).
