John is an experienced entrepreneur dedicated to establishing and growing healthcare organizations with a focus on software development and electronic medical record (EMR) integration. John worked at Cerner Corporation for 9 years as a software developer, project manager and 3rd-party vendor channel manager. John founded JASE Health in 2007 after his departure from Cerner and currently serves as President. John is co-founder and CEO of Red Rover Health, Inc which is a company focused on providing EMR integration through a SaaS platform. John's deep knowledge of interoperability challenges were the foundation for Red Rover Health's CORE® SaaS platform.
John remains active outside of JASE and Red Rover by offering technical diligence services for various healthcare venture capital firms. In this role, John dives deep into technology architecture, intellectual property, scalability, security posture, EMR integration strategy, etc. The diligence helps accelerate the venture capital software vetting process.
John has previously served on the Advisory Group for ONC's Functional Interoperability & Health Information Exchange. John has held the role of Healthcare Information Technology Solutions Architect Telligen helping the Iowa Health IT Regional Extension Center with EMR implementation and integration challenges. John also participated as a member of Iowa e-Health which is a public-private collaborative focused on improving healthcare quality through the Iowa Health Information Network (IHIN).
