Ian Hoppe United States - Birmingham, Alabama

Ian Hoppe is a former commercial and industrial electrical contractor and engineering designer with over a decade of experience in the field and a lifetime of knowledge of electrical configuration.

His most recent venture, Condoit, is in the electrical engineering and design space. Condoit's tablet application allows users to catalog all the important parts and pieces of an existing electrical system including notes and pictures. It will automatically draw a single line diagram for the project and generate a drawing and reports for your internal team, engineer, OEM, or distributor.

Then Condoit will allow you to simulate the installation and connection of these future equipment (a new EV charger, for example) and run load calculations to see what parts of the electrical system need to be upgraded so that you can estimate materials and labor costs of installation in a matter of seconds.

Previously, Ian worked as a journalist, director, host, and managing producer for a regional news organization in the southeastern United States, winning two Emmys and multiple other awards for his work. He left that career in May of 2020 to build Con.doit full time.
