Mike loves to combine his passion for innovative solutions with a personal mission to help the K-12 school system. He's always on the lookout for positive-sum solutions.

Swing Education is working to help solve schools' pain points around substitute teacher scheduling and placement. We're thinking of teachers and schools first to build an easy-to-use product that will also take away the work of screening and payroll for contract employees from the district -- and do it all for less than what districts are currently paying.

Previously, he served as the Director of Technology at Rocketship Education, a leading charter school network based in San Jose serving low-income communities across three states and known for its blended learning instructional model. During his time there, Rocketship grew from 2 schools in San Jose to 13 schools in three states (California, Wisconsin, and Tennessee). Mike strived to push the envelope in how technology was used at Rocketship while always being cognizant of Rocketship's mission of running high quality and operating financially sustainable schools.
