James has a strong passion for cleantech and sustainability. He has deep experience in the renewable energy industry (energy storage, fuel cells, micro-hydro, and geothermal), and his professional ambitions are motivated by his personal objective of bettering our environment. James has also dedicated significant personal time towards this purpose by pursuing endeavors such as founding Ivey Business School' annual Social Impact Conference, as well as volunteering as an Advisor with MaRS Cleantech in Toronto, providing business advisory to young cleantech companies to help them grow into successful sector leaders.

James has significant experience in developing targeted strategic recommendations and mobilization plans for a broad range of companies across international markets. He has led initiatives in a wide array of areas, such as go-to-market strategy, performance improvement, customer strategy, mergers & acquisitions, IT, and organization, as well as commercial due diligence for private equity clients.

James also has many years of experience in the successful execution of large-scale engineering projects. He has been involved in almost all aspects of engineering consulting, including technical design, procurement, commissioning, and project finance.
