Guy EzekielCo Founder
I'm the co-founder and CEO of Zorro, a startup company (currently in stealth mode) aiming to make healthcare more personalized, accessible and affordable. Prior to founding Zorro, I was a Managing Partner at Pitango (Israel's largest venture capital fund) where I focused on investing in disruptive healthcare companies. It was during my time at Pitango that I realized that at the intersection of Healthcare and Financial services there is huge potential for disruption in order to meet the unmet needs of millions of families. It was this vision in mind that I co-founded Zorro.
Prior to my investing career, for 25 years I held various leadership positions in both start-up and Fortune 500 companies in Israel and the US. I served as General-Manager/Vice President of Medtronic Ventor Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Medtronic Inc. [NYSE:MDT], Executive Director Medrad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bayer AG, President & CEO of Brainsway [TASE: BRIN, NASDQ:BWAY], President & CEO of Marval Pharma.
These leadership and executive positions followed my role serving as the President and CEO of Ventor Technologies. It was here that I first led a company from its earliest days as a small startup to an industry disruptor with groundbreaking medical innovation. In 2009, I led the sale of Ventor to Medtronic for US$ 325 Million.
I hold an M.D. degree from Ben Gurion University and an MBA degree (Cum Laude) from Pittsburgh University.
While my career thus far has been extremely fulfilling, nothing is more rewarding than the life I have built with my family. I am extremely proud of my four kids and look forward to seeing all they accomplish. In my “spare time”, I’m a bit of an adrenaline-junkie and have participated in multiple triathlons and Iron Man challenges.
