As CEO and Founder of Veradermics, I am proud to be leading a team of experts advancing first-in-class therapeutics that address patient needs in under-innovated dermatology markets. We founded Veradermics to create paradigm-shifting medical dermatology solutions and fill a void in innovation for common skin conditions that still have treatment challenges.

By harnessing a lean development approach and leveraging the expertise of our executive team’s front-line clinical experience, Veradermics has curated a differentiated pipeline of novel therapeutics with potential first-in-class market opportunities. We anticipate beginning multiple first-in-human trials for our dermatologic candidates in 2023. Our rapidly advancing pipeline targets indications for common warts (verruca vulgaris), molluscum contagiosum, alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss), and atopic dermatitis. Our clinical program evaluating our lead product candidate, VDMN, for the treatment of common warts is currently in Phase 2 development.

As a board-certified dermatologist with more than 10 years of clinical experience, the rapid growth of Veradermics and our diverse pipeline is inspiring. Historically, drug development in dermatology has concentrated on addressing a finite number of skin diseases. We are hoping to change that by addressing pervasive treatment challenges in dermatology.

Research and the advancement of treatments for patients has always been my passion. Prior to founding Veradermics, I was a prolific researcher with more than 100 publications and the recipient of numerous accolades. I received my Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Medical Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City 6 Year BA/MD Program and completed my dermatology residency with a “Distinction in Clinical Trials” at the University of Connecticut.

The future of medical dermatology is exciting, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this transformation.

Fun fact: when I am not busy with my team advancing medical dermatology, I am also a certified BBQ judge for the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
