Thomas (Tom) Houle is an energy industry executive with a solid record of creating and leading teams in renewable energy development, financing, and construction. He is well known for his expertise in project/platform origination, investment, financing, and partnership management.

Tom recently established Accelergen Energy and is building an experienced high-quality team with strong financial backing to invest in and commercialize development-stage utility scale renewable energy assets through to operations with a focus on solar, hybrid solar/storage and stand-alone storage.

He built and led his first team early in his career creating a power trading organization along with subsequent teams in the creation of a new electric utility and development of gas-fired power plants. Since transitioning to renewable energy development in 2004, Tom has led teams in the creation of a greenfield wind/solar development company, successful origination and investment in development platforms, individual projects, and project development, contracting, financing, and construction of ~1.6 GW of wind, solar generation, and battery storage assets.
