Kirk Chapman United States - Greenville, South Carolina

Kirk Chapman, served as the Head of Technology for Independence National Bank from 2016-2017. He was responsible for leading and building an online lending platform to compete in the SoFi, Lending Club, Prosper marketplace. Within 5 months his team delivered online services that supported Transaction Services (payments to and from the consumer), Collections, Fraud Prevention, and Credit Decisioning, as well as, all technology and infrastructure required to support these functions.

Kirk previously served as Sr. Director of Engineering for ND Bank. In this capacity, he ran all aspects of technology for a startup entering the mobile payments space and helped bridge the gap between the business proposition and the technical capabilities. His team successfully completed the first US installation of a global banking core, which included connectivity to global card issuers and processors. Additionally, he was responsible for vendor selection and contract negotiation.

Kirk served on the Board of Directors for Leadership Greenville Alumni, and a local theatre group. He graduated from Leadership Greenville and was named “Who’s Next” under 35. Additionally, he has spent significant time and resources with a small private orphanage and school in northern India since 2008. As an alpinist, he has climbed and summited notable peaks mainly from his home state of Alaska such as Mt Hunter and Mt Russell.
