Tyme is building a multi-country digital bank focused on emerging markets in Asia and Africa. We are driven by the conviction that broadening economic participation will unlock human potential. TymeGlobal partners with in-country local partners to launch next-generation digital banks.

Over the years, Tyme has created a disruptive digital banking business model led by retailer integration that solves the challenge of financial services access. We bring our Tyme digital banking platform to emerging market partners, helping them accelerate the deployment of TymeBanks faster, cheaper and with less risk.

The Tyme digital banking platform consists of:
i) Tyme's own end-to-end tech stack for digital banking, purpose-built on the cloud for modularity and cost efficiency
ii) the Tyme brand and product proposition designed for emerging markets
iii) Tyme operating model with tech, data analytics and operational expertise in-country alongside partners in-country

Tyme is based in Hong Kong, Vietnam and South Africa with ~175 employees. Our technology development hub is located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and our data science and analytics capabilities are in Johannesburg.

In February 2019, Tyme, in partnership with African Rainbow Capital in South Africa, launched the first TymeBank in South Africa. In its first 12 months, TymeBank has become the fastest-growing greenfield digital bank in the world, acquiring 800,000 customers as of October 2019.
