My current work focuses on reducing CO2 back into fuels and chemical for use in the polymer and other chemical industries. In addition to the development of new transition metal phosphide catalysts for hydrogen as well as understanding the origin for these materials uniquely high activity.

This work has given rise to RenewCO2 a startup trying to commercialize CO2 utilization into chemical such as polymers and fuels.

My previous work covered amongst others: biofuel and polymer building block synthesis from fructose; developing sintering stable noble metal and semi-conductor catalyst materials; which also show size-selective catalytic properties. The study of heterogeneous catalysts on semi-conductor interfaces. Working with the protection and activation of silicon photocathode for solar hydrogen production.
