Most tech innovation built for this industry lacks a field-level understanding of what the people using it actually deal with day-to-day. Not here at PayShepherd.

Over my career in construction, maintenance and heavy industry, I saw firsthand that business acumen as a vendor is extremely important and a huge driver in how much business they get.

But, so many of the admin items flowing between facilities or assets and vendors are in Excel with paper-based safety forms, quality forms, daily billing, invoices, you name it. It’s challenging.

We started PayShepherd to work with industrial clients and review their vendors’ invoicing, their processes and zoom into the pennies to understand how the client was spending money, including if and when they were overpaying.

Our software and the expert service surrounding it embodies our desire to help the people we have been in the past: heavy industry, client-side, boots on the ground, hardhat wearing people spending time supervising vendors on the job while bogged down in ineffective, massively time-draining admin work.

Since solving for this problem in a way that protects and builds stronger vendor relationships for our clients across Canada and the U.S., we’ve had incredible growth.
