Our name is inspired by the Japanese concept ‘mono no aware’, the profound appreciation of the beauty of fleeting moments. We believe that when we fully immerse ourselves in the here and now, the deeper beauty of the world reveals itself, and our experiences become so much richer. Our designs seek to inspire people to travel in a mindful and present way – to embrace the journey of each day with curiosity and a sense of wonder.

With our ‘less is more’ approach and emphasis on high-quality craftsmanship that stands the test of time, we’ve made it our mission to create thoughtfully designed, functional travel pieces to aid in your passionate wanderings, wherever it might lead you.

Victor Tam Canada - ND

Change and disruption - these are two things that I have grown to be very familiar with throughout my career. Starting my first business in high school, I have been involved in a number of successful ventures in the digital eCommerce space for the past 20 years. At the core, I am a digital marketer and serial entrepreneur with a passion for consumer psychology, branding, design and a knack for pattern recognition and trend-spotting. In 2011, I founded Rove Concepts from my small apartment, a high-growth online-based furniture company that aimed to deliver quality, handcrafted mid-century furniture to the masses. Since then, Rove Concepts has expanded to a workplace of 50+ team members spanning three countries. As Co-Founder, I helped grow the company from 0 to mid 8-figure yearly revenue in 5 years without any external financing and sales totalling over $100 million dollars.

I’m excited to leverage all my experience and insight that I’ve gained in the past 20 years towards my next venture, Monos.
