Co-Founder and Chief Veterinary Officer at Heart + Paw, a multi-site veterinary practice that is reimaging pet care to treat pets, their parents, and veterinary care providers like family the way no one else has. With decades of experience in the veterinary profession, George has intentionally set out to build a practice whereby veterinarians, and those who care for animals, who he often describes as having the noblest hearts in the world, can practice happy, healthy, and successfully. Heart + Paw has grown to 28 locations, a combination of de novo builds and acquired hospitals, in ten states across the northeast and mid-Atlantic.

Before founding Heart + Paw, George spent nine years at Banfield Pet Hospital, leading the northeast region as Vice President Veterinary Quality, overseeing 170+ locations, and a high performing team of veterinary leaders. His leadership was recognized several times at Banfield including the Mars Make the Difference North American winner and global finalist in 2013.

George has also been part of founding two successful startups in human pharmaceuticals: PharmFlex, a contract sales organization started with his father, and Pharmaceutical Resource Solutions, started with his siblings. Both were successful and acquired by larger groups.

He also co-owned his own small animal practice outside of Philadelphia for many years and is passionate about veterinarians owning their business and veterinary led operations. He currently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Animal Care of PA Foundation and enjoys as much time as possible on Long Beach Island, NJ with his wife, five millennial children and their spouses, two grandchildren who are his ultimate joy and his 13-year-old rescue Jack Russell terrier, Pancho.
