I’m incredibly fortunate to have built a career doing what I love, putting my endlessly inquiring mind to good use. Having a natural ability to pivot any given environment, I have often found myself in roles where there is a need to wear many hats, which I rather like because it keeps me on my toes.

I’ve never cared about the job title; for me, it’s about the role and what can be achieved. This means sometimes my focus is on Sales and Marketing, or it might be Business Development, or R&D, Market Access, Pricing or Reimbursement. While the nature of my specific contribution to a business can vary, the constant is always Healthcare, which is my real passion.

My remit usually sits somewhere between global strategy & leadership, and operations:

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY

▲ Board-level commercial expertise: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Branding, Finance and P&L.
▲ Defining strategy and vision for the business, including embedding cultural change.
▲ Identifying commercial or technical gaps and opportunities, and finding solutions to fill them.
▲ Setting-up and scaling commercial entities from scratch in UK & EMEA.
▲ Recruiting, leading, engaging and motivating high-performing teams.
▲ End-to-end fund-raising, from business plans and pitch-decks, to VCs, PE & Angel Investors.

OPERATIONAL EXECUTION & DELIVERY

▲ Increasing turnover and profitability by improving existing operations, or setting-up new.
▲ Running and understanding the end-to-end life of a business start-up.
▲ Implementing a range of commercial tools and techniques, including CRM.
▲ Early-stage product development including UX, as well as late-stage commercialisation.

I’m someone who never settles for mediocrity, and this is what I expect from my teams. It’s also the reason I provide mentoring for a number of universities and organisations, helping to create business leaders of the future.
