Abhijit Gupta United States - ND

It is widely accepted that the most successful entrepreneurial ventures come from personal experiences and that is exactly how Abhijit Gupta founded his previous startup, Praxify. Having experienced the inefficiencies of the healthcare ecosystem firsthand and having identified the need to make healthcare more personal and patient centric, he founded a category-defining digital health company focused on bringing clinical insights at the point of care to doctors by overlaying to existing EHR systems. Praxify was eventually acquired by athenahealth (America’s leading EHR platform) in June 2017 where he launched and headed the company’s mobility efforts and created America’s most lovable mobile EHR platform with a single pane view of patients across different care settings.

Prior to athenahealth and Praxify, Abhijit was part of the founding team of Azingo, which had created a mobile platform similar to Android, and was acquired by Motorola and eventually by Google. A serial entrepreneur and an early stage investor today, Abhijit currently has investments in more than 30 exciting startups and is a LP in few venture funds globally. He is also associated as an advisor to multiple government health initiatives along with the Harvard FXB group, and is an advisor to a bunch of startups, where he enjoys spending time brainstorming ideas, problems and solutions with early stage founders.

When not working on solving problems related to the healthcare industry, Abhijit loves to travel and explore diverse places and cultures. He enjoys spending time with his kids in exploring new learning platforms while unlearning and learning a lot himself in that process. He understands the ins and outs of the healthcare system and is currently working on crafting the building blocks of modern primary care.
