I'm a serial entrepreneur working toward a future where "data-driven decisions" would sound like "electricity-powered appliances" today. I'm lucky to have built two successful companies with my extremely talented co-founders. We started Alation in 2013 to help enterprises manage the usability of their sprawling big data, and now it's the leader in enterprise data intelligence. We started Lattice in 2015 to help unlock the value of dark data (unstructured and semi-structured data), and it went on to transform Siri at Apple from the inside. I have a PhD in machine learning. I still can't believe that, during graduate school, I had the fortune to work with three legendary computer science professors on what was a side project -- Hogwild! -- that was recognized with the NeurIPS Test of Time award in 2020.
