I am fascinated by how computer vision (cameras + algorithms) can be used to create unique products and improve the world: all the way from automation to generative content creation.

I firmly believe that analyzing and interpreting video data like humans will enable the next "Big Thing" and will be the foundation behind most digital innovation over the following decades. Most likely, this will be facilitated by continuous progress in Narrow AI.

To contribute to this trend, I founded Deep Render. The deep tech startup makes sharing high-quality media data more accessible by significantly lowering file sizes through better compression technology. It's also a very selfish startup: I once experienced the joy of living with friends in a household with a shared 10 Mbps internet connection; doing anything on the internet was a massive pain due to bandwidth constraints.

Besides my technical interests, I love "stories" and believe the world is driven by the power to communicate in a way that connects with people. I am intrigued by everyone who can share good stories. I consider successful content creators, e.g. YouTubers and Twitchers, to be the best storytellers in the world, and I am trying to learn from them.
