Luis is the founder, chairman and CEO of CloudWalk, which is building an interplanetary payment network. CloudWalk is backed by leading global fintech investors such as Coatue, DST, A*, The Hive, Valor Capital, FIS WorldPay, Plug and Play Ventures, Jackie Reses, Gokul Rajaram, among others and has raised more than $350m in capital to date, being one of the most valuable fintech companies in Latin America.

Luis learned alone how to code at 16 years old and founded his first company at 21 years old. Since then founded, invested and advised companies in Silicon Valley and Brazil, including robots that genetically engineer life using AI, fintech solutions that securely process billions of dollars in payments from entire countries and new emerging blockchain technologies that are changing the financial world.

In 2014 he was selected among 80 entrepreneurs from all over the world to live and study at NASA Ames Research Park in Silicon Valley, learning future and disruptive technologies at Singularity University.
