Katherine Hobbs, MD MPH is the CEO of Author Health, a technology-enabled health care services company specializing in psychiatric treatment and social support for seniors with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Author Health partners with health insurance companies as a value-based provider, measuring quality and outcomes and delivering comprehensive services that are deeply embedded in the local community.

Prior to Author Health, Katherine led care delivery innovation, the transition to value-based payment, quality and outcome measurement, and core behavioral health insurance functions for regional and national health plans. She is an adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke University School of Medicine and practiced clinically in integrated settings with individuals with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. She completed her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; psychiatry residency and fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School; and Master’s Degree at the Harvard School of Public Health. Katherine serves on the Board and as an advisor for several health care companies.
