Kamal’s career spans over 15 years in Product Management leadership, focusing on Media & Entertainment, AI/ML, AR/VR, Self-Driving car products, and production experience working at Pixar as an artist over 7 years, where he started his career.

Kamal is Chief Executive Officer at Arcturus (XR Studio), a company building the platform for what's next with video, Digital Humans, and Holographic content. Before Arcturus, Kamal led the product team at Uber ATG focused on building a Simulation platform used in testing & developing Self Driving Vehicles. Before Uber, Kamal worked at Netflix as a Senior Product Lead - Innovation, where he led the development of AI-assisted Artwork and Trailer creation for Netflix’s library of content. Before Netflix, Kamal was a group head of products at Autodesk. He helped the product team create Academy and Emmy Award-winning software used in the Film, Games, VR/AR, and Reality Capture markets. Flagship products under Kamal’s purview included Maya, Mudbox, Motionbuilder, Arnold, and Bifrost. While at Autodesk, Kamal was involved with numerous acquisitions such as Arnold, Exotic Matter & Shotgun and kicking off numerous VR/AR and real-time game engine initiatives. Kamal lives in Walnut Creek, California, with his two teenagers.
