Amit Malik India - Mumbai, Maharashtra

Dr. Amit Malik has over two decades of experience working in mental health globally as a Psychiatrist
and now as a Healthcare Entrepreneur. In 2016, he founded Amaha (formerly InnerHour), one of
India’s largest mental health organisations delivering accessible and high quality treatment, care and
support in 15+ languages, with an in-house team of over 110 psychologists and psychiatrists. Having
delivered over 35,000+ therapy and psychiatry sessions in the last year to individuals across 300+
Indian cities, Amaha now offers in-person consultations at its first three centres in Bangalore, Mumbai
and Delhi NCR. Amaha’s digital platform has touched over 4.5 million people globally,, and has won
several accolades, including an award for the “Best App for Good'' by Google Play.

He completed his undergraduate medical training in India and his postgraduate training and higher
training in Psychiatry in Nottingham, UK, obtaining his Membership in The Royal College of
Psychiatrists and his Certificate of Completion of Training in Psychiatry in the UK. In addition to
a Master’s in Business Administration from London Business School, he holds a Diploma in
Geriatric Medicine from The Royal College of Physicians (London).

Dr Amit Malik has held numerous leadership roles including Clinical Director and Associate Medical
Director within the NHS. He has been a trustee of The Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and a
Board member of the European Board of Psychiatry. He played a critical role in building out and
managing multi-location mental health services in his last role as the commercial director of an NHS
mental health organisation with an operating budget of $200Mn+.

Amit is also a globally published author. He has co-authored/co-edited 6 textbooks and has been
routinely published in several international academic journals. Additionally, he has been on the
editorial board of two international journals - International Psychiatry and the International Journal of
Social Psychiatry.

Amit believes that ensuring early access to high quality mental health services is critical for effective
and timely recovery and his vision is to leverage technology to support & scale easy frictionless
access for the full range of mental health services across the entire lifespan.
