We are a Nordic deeptech company changing how the food industry operates. We do this with the help of an amazing insect, the black soldier fly, and our proprietary technology and know-how.
We produce sustainable protein, oil and fertilizer that can replace unsustainably produced alternatives. Our products are used in aquafeeds, pet food, chemical and fertilizer industries, and our products can replace e.g. soy, fish meal and palm kernel oil.
Our ground-breaking technology – based on years of research and development at VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland) – makes Volare’s process the most sustainable in our field, which is why we’ve probably been noted as one of the hottest startups in Europe by WIRED.
Right now, we’re in the process of planning our first industrial-scale facility in Finland.
