My passion in life is making capital and our financial system work for all people. That means levelling the playing field for women.

As CEO and Co-Founder of Verve, Australia's first superannuation fund for women, I get out of bed each day with the mission of building the financial power of women. I'm passionate about ethical investment, impact investment and ensuring that capital is used to help build a better world.

Prior to founding Verve, I enjoyed ten years working for the United Nations in complex humanitarian emergencies. My role with the UN focused leading in co-ordination with other humanitarian organisations, governments and the private sector operations to connect the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world to the financial services system, often to provide life saving assistance and livelihood support.

If that sounds confusing, think: designing women focused micro-finance agricutlure projects in Gaza; establishing mobile banking/blockchain technology to deliver assistance in a number of conflict zones and complex natural disaster settings; or leading a 1 billion euro programme to register 1.3 million Syrians in Turkey with the social security and banking systems to receive EU humanitarian aid - one of the largest aid projects ever.

On the side, I've enjoyed guest lecturing, running for parliament... and skiing big mountains.
