Tom Greenwood is a fintech entrepreneur with over two decades of leadership experience building and scaling financial infrastructure.

He founded IFX Payments in 2005, where he led its evolution from a traditional FX provider into a fintech platform — launching ibanq, one of the industry’s early embedded finance and banking-as-a-service offerings. In 2019, he founded Volt, a London-based real-time payments company, and served as CEO through a period of rapid international growth. Under his leadership, Volt was named UK Fintech of the Year in 2024.

Tom is now co-founder and CEO of Velocity, a next-generation financial infrastructure platform unifying global payments and treasury through stablecoin technology. Velocity is purpose-built for enterprise, enabling businesses to move, manage, and optimise capital in real time across fiat and digital rails.

Throughout his career, Tom has consistently operated at the intersection of payments, infrastructure, and innovation — building companies that modernise how money moves on a global scale.
