Torben Nielsen has 20+ years of broad business experience, ranging from high-growth start-ups to global household brand names such as LEGO and XEROX. He led the turn-around and expansion of on-demand, innovative retail & digital healthcare platform, ZoomCare, scaling it to the largest primary and urgent care provider in the Pacific Northwest. His leadership was recognized by the Portland Business Journal as "Executive of the Year" in Oregon/SW Washington in 2021.

Torben co-founded HealthSparq in 2012—the second-fastest-growing digital health company in the U.S. in 2016 and acquired by Kyruus in 2021—and has shepherded innovative, digital, and retail healthcare solutions over the past fifteen years.

Before entering healthcare, Torben held executive roles leading marketing, product, e-commerce, operations and retail teams at technology and consumer companies. His work and leadership have been recognized in case studies performed by leading research institutions, including Forrester Research and PwC. Most recently, he was one of 27 expert contributors to Kevin Pereau's book on digital healthcare in the US "It Takes A Village" from 2021. Moreover, ZoomCare (along with OneMedical and Capsule) was recognized as a healthcare disrupter by Scott Galloway, Professor at NYU Stern School of Business, in his most recent book "Post Corona: From Crisis to Opportunity" from November 2020.

Torben has an MBA from Oregon State University and graduated from the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark with an MA in English. A frequent speaker and thought-leader in the healthcare industry, Torben is also a regular user of Twitter under the name @TorbenSNielsen.
