Barun Kar is a highly accomplished technology executive and co-founder of Auradine, a pioneering company specializing in web infrastructure solutions, including blockchain, security, and privacy. With over 25 years of experience, Barun has demonstrated his expertise in leading R&D organizations to deliver disruptive products and solutions, resulting in multi-billion-dollar revenues and top market shares.

Previously, Barun held the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering at Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader. During his impressive 16-year tenure, he played a crucial role as a key member of the founding and leadership team. Barun led the development of ASIC, hardware, and software for multiple product lines from inception through four generations. Under his guidance, Palo Alto Networks achieved remarkable success, generating annual revenues of $4 billion and maintaining a sustained leadership position in Gartner's next-gen firewall magic quadrant for over 10 years. Furthermore, he successfully spearheaded two acquisitions and skillfully led five post-merger integrations, contributing to the company's growth and expansion.

Prior to his time at Palo Alto Networks, Barun served as a leader in switch and router systems and software development at Juniper Networks, where he oversaw the entire Ethernet portfolio. He was the visionary behind the highly successful MX series Ethernet router, which generated $1 billion in sales within its first year of introduction. The MX series continues to be widely deployed across service providers, cloud operators, and enterprises, solidifying its position as a leading solution in the industry. Earlier in his career, Barun gained valuable experience working at Level One (acquired by Intel) and Motorola, further enhancing his breadth of knowledge and expertise.

Barun holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He further pursued his education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he earned a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in a field relevant to his professional pursuits.
