Prior to co-founding Truvelop, Lisa served as the President and Founder of First Choice, LLC a Human Resources consulting firm. She is a recognized professional in HR strategy development and labor relations with 20+ years of experience working with domestic and global companies in the airline, gaming, hospitality, healthcare, technology and manufacturing industries. Lisa holds her SPHR. She received a B.A. in International Relations from the College of Wooster in Ohio and studied at Johns Hopkins University and the University Stendhal in Grenoble, France. Lisa lives in Baltimore City with her husband Steve Willis and their five children.

Most recently, Lisa was appointed by Governor Hogan to serve as Chair of the Compensation Commission for the State of Maryland General Assembly. Lisa also served on the Parent and Community Advisory Board (PCAB) of Baltimore City Schools for many years.
