Raphael is the CEO and Co-Founder of SocialCrowd, the digital Fitbit for work! It's the first platform that boosts employee performance for you, by tracking, reminding, and rewarding employees for hitting goals...so managers can save time and stay focused!

Prior to SocialCrowd, Raphael was the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for HST Pathways, the ambulatory surgery center industry’s leading practice management and electronic health record company. In this role, Raphael helped to lead the acquisition of two health-tech companies — SimpleAdmit, which provides patient assessment and engagement software, and Clariti, a leading provider of patient payment estimate software. Through this, HST Pathways now serves 1,400+ hospitals and surgery centers, 40,000+ surgeons, and millions of patients each year. In addition, HST was recently recognized as part of the 2021 Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies.

Raphael was the Chief Growth Officer of Casetabs, which provides surgery coordination and patient tracking software for hospitals and surgery centers. He helped to accelerate the growth of the business, which culminated in an acquisition of Casetabs to Bain Capital at the end of 2020. In addition, Raphael spent years as a Product Manager and Strategy Consultant for various companies, including Expedia, Southwest Airlines, Caesars Palace, Marvel, Allstate, and Google. In 2010, Raphael started his first company as a freshman in college, which created proprietary electronic sportswear for universities. As students cheered at university night games, their shirts would light up with the school’s logo. As a 19-year-old college student, he raised funding from venture capitalists, placed products into retailers across the southwest U.S., hired a diverse team (engineers, designers, retail workers, marketers), and set up a manufacturing process in China, all while getting his Civil Engineering degree from Texas Tech University.

As a first-generation American from humble beginnings, Raphael is focused on using his success to help the next generation. In 2021, he launched the Akinsipe Family Endowed Scholarship at his alma mater Texas Tech University for underprivileged students to help make their career pathways in science and engineering more attainable. In addition, Raphael is currently a board member for the Aspire Charter Schools Foundation in California. Raphael also does various talks and events about career acceleration to help young people carve a path forward.
