Steve Lufkin is an accomplished life sciences executive with more than 25 years’ experience building and leading successful technical companies. Steve leverages his business development, investment capital and fundraising expertise to drive significant growth for biotechnology diagnostics, medical devices and pharmaceutical companies. He is skilled at organizing strategic joint ventures, partnerships and acquisitions in highly competitive domestic and international markets.

At SeLux Diagnostics, Inc, Steve is pioneering a new era in personalized medicine to treat multi-drug resistant organism infections and combat antibiotic resistance. As CEO, he is leading strategic partnerships to commercialize the company’s proprietary breakthrough diagnostic platform, SeLux Next Generation Phenotyping (NGP). A key mission of this effort is garnering support from biotechnology stakeholders, hospital executives and early adopters.

Before joining SeLux in 2017, Steve was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vantix Diagnostics, a worldwide developer and distributor of a biosensor platform technology. He also led DxTech LLC as CEO and Chairman of the Board, (a portfolio company of Laurus Valance Hedge Fund) a multi-national early-stage medical diagnostic company. Other previous positions include General Manager of IVAX Diagnostics, a public in vitro diagnostics company and Vice President at Midwest Research Institute and President of MRI Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Steve earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire – Whittemore School of Business and Economics, Durham, NH and holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Maine, Orono, ME.
