A passionate plant scientist turned co-founder of Phytoform, driven to use crops to tackle some of the biggest problems facing society today.

Before founding Phytoform Labs I completed a PhD in Plant science from Imperial College London, a MRes in Molecular Plant and Microbial Sciences from Imperial College and a BSc in Botany from the University of Bristol.

During my career I have nurtured a fascination with plant genetics which led me to develop several novel techniques including in the field of genome editing. I have also held a deep interest in how we can make our society more sustainable and less harmful to the environment and was involved in conservation projects around the world.
