We are Paradox, the company that’s inspired by a world where AI empowers recruiting teams to spend time with people, not software.

Our flagship product is Olivia, the AI recruiting assistant obsessed with automating the BS (we call it the boring stuff) to make the recruiting experience faster, easier, and more respectful for everyone.

Olivia helps companies capture and screen candidates, answer candidate questions 24/7 (on any device), automate the back-and-forth of interview scheduling to save everyone precious time, and so much more.

We have the good fortune of supporting global clients like Unilever, McDonald’s, Nestle, and Intel. And we’ve been honored to win several awards, including HR Executive Top Product, Brandon Hall Group’s Gold Award for Best Advance in AI for Business Impact, and one of Forbes’ Top 500 Startups to Work For.

Please note: Paradox will never ask you for your credit card or bank account information in connection with our recruitment process. If anyone contacts you requesting such information, please email us at info@paradox.ai or go to https://www.paradox.ai/legal/fraud for more information.

I’m a builder. I’m obsessed with growing & building businesses, products, and people. Today, I have the pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated people in HR tech, building Paradox and our conversational AI assistant, Olivia. Did I mention we’re always looking for A+ talent?

I’ve been a tech founder/CEO for over 20 years, which means I’ve seen the journey of the Internet and SaaS, and I’m on a constant evolution to help become a better person & leader.

I went into HR in college because I figured if you got the “people thing” right, a company could do amazing things. I left HR, and I’ve since found a happy place between doing this in my own companies and doing this in some of the most innovative companies in the world.

When I was about 10 years old, my parents gave me the gift of learning with a TRS-80 Model 1. I learned in the early 1980s to program in BASIC and helped me learn from an early age that computers can do amazing things. I love the intersection of people & technology. Today, I miss having the dev tools at my fingertips - but my engineering team is happy that I don’t.

I’m obsessed with reading; and have too many books to count. I’m humbled by all those that share their wisdom with us. I consider part of me to be a long lost artist who loves to be surrounded with beauty, simplicity, and art. My hobbies include design, architecture, art (viewing not creating), aquaculture (and ponding/aquatic ecosystems), landscape design, and bass fishing. I've learned that my mashup of hobbies all have something in common - and it's a love of systems.

I was an avid (on & off) cyclist (depends on the year), proud three-time Ironman finisher, and former collegiate tennis player. I'm married to the "real" Olivia, and we have a little one named Beckett.
