Rutger van Zuidam (1983, The Netherlands, married, father of three) is the Founder and Chairman of Odyssey.org.

A digital native foundation with international presence founded in The Netherlands focussed on enabling everyone to freely shape their future together.

To that extend Odyssey is developing Momentum: the open source web3 metaverse stack for collaboration. Momentum enables anyone to unlock the collaborative superpowers of people, organisations and communities with tools, economics and network in which people can freely create their own collaborative environment, community and activities. Momentum offers s network of online, live and persistent 3D worlds that provide rich engagement and interaction in which people can gather, meet, co-create, collaborate and achieve results.

Odyssey Horizon is the online innovation program specifically designed for corporates, governments, NGOs, Universities and Online (web3) ecosystems that want to explore new 21st century paradigms in a multi-stakeholder setting. Odyssey originated in 2016, and has been serving clients like The European Union Intellectual Property Office, KLM Cargo, TVM, APG, ING, SAP, Deloitte, Royal Netherlands Standardization Institute, VMWare, Digital Asset Holdings, Vattenfall, Engie, EON, Enexis, University Medical Center Groningen, The International Union for Conservation of Nature, City of The Hague, and several Dutch Ministries, and many more.

Rutger also serves Drenthe College, where 9000 students enjoy intermediate vocational education (MBO), as member of the supervisory board.

Rutger has a background in Business Information Technology (Hanze University of Applied Sciences, bachelor). Prior to Odyssey, Rutger held various entrepreneurial and advisory positions such as: co-founder and chief commercial director of International ticketing service Paylogic.com (2005-2008), new media advisor at Hanze University of Applied Sciences (2011-2014) and business developer and advisor at the Investment and Development Agency for the Northern Netherlands (2014-2018).
