As President of Blue Origin, I led the company from its founding and created the company culture, while managing growth. Blue increased staff by more than 100x during my tenure while adding new facilities in the U.S. and internationally, expanding work scope, and signing on critical new customers. I managed the development and production of the New Shepard reusable launcher, created the liquid rocket engine business, managed the design of New Glenn, and created the vision for Blue Moon while achieving financial and organizational goals, reporting directly to Jeff Bezos.

I have built technical teams from scratch at NASA, Kistler Aerospace, and Blue Origin. I thrive on concept development through execution; scaling teams from zero to hundreds; and utilizing my extensive government, industry, and university network to ensure success. I am recognized for developing and mentoring leaders and am proud that former members of my team have become industry leaders, founders, and innovators at Relativity Space, Ursa Major, Hermeus, Stoke Space, Starfish Space, Avalanche Energy, and many other companies.
