We saw a materials revolution happening around us. Everything was changing rapidly; energy, transport and agriculture yet plastic stayed the same. We knew the technology existed to put an end to plastic waste but there weren’t any products available on the market for us to use. That’s when Great Wrap was born. We invented the products we knew the world was missing so we can dump plastic once and for all. We are driven by impact, fuelled by demand and have a 10 year vision for a world where plastic doesn’t exist.

We are living through a deep tech revolution, yet plastic remains unchanged. We saw transport, energy, agriculture and construction rapidly evolving, which created an incredible opportunity to change the packaging landscape. Great Wrap is reimagining today's materials to solve tomorrow's problems.

I studied a Bachelor of Agriculture with a major in Viticulture & Winemaking but left early to start my own wine label that I was really proud of what it became. I farmed 15 acres of vines organically and made wines naturally that were sold around the world in some of my favourite restaurants.

My love for agriculture, biology and chemistry got to flourish when Julia and I founded Great Wrap. We are a team of brilliant minds that are developing some of the most innovative biotechnology to create a new biopolymers and products that disappear in any environment.

We don't just have a pathway to becoming a successful company, we have a pathway to a world without pertroleum plastic.
