Reimagining Geothermal Energy with CO₂
At Factor2 Energy, we are pioneering a new generation of geothermal technology. Our approach uses CO₂ as the working fluid in geothermal power generation – enabling emission-free, efficient, and baseload-capable electricity.
By repurposing geological formations that either naturally contain CO₂ or are designated for carbon capture and storage (CCS), we transform passive storage sites into active, sustainable energy resources.
Our technology leverages the unique thermophysical properties of CO₂ to unlock significantly more viable sites than conventional geothermal – without fracking, without new drilling technologies, and by building on existing infrastructure and know-how.
