I previously worked as a design engineer in aircraft ice protection systems for a variety of global customers. My work predominantly revolved around design, from conceptual through to PDR and CDR, alongside testing and validation, which included DO-160 / MIL-STD-810 qualification, integration, field testing and icing wind tunnel testing. A portion of my role also concentrated on design innovation and future planning and validation of engineering processes and methodologies. I was also involved in customer support, which required regular international travel.
