I am a Chinese immigrant entrepreneur based in Chicago. I arrived in the U.S. in 2013 to pursue my master's degree. Immediately after graduation, I founded Chowbus and started my journey as a full-time entrepreneur.

Arriving in the U.S with no money, no resources, and knowing no one besides my girlfriend, who is now my beloved wife, I feel lucky to have gotten to where I am today and couldn't be more grateful for it. There are many people who helped me. There are many lessons I learned from this journey.

Personally, I'm passionate about seeing more immigrant entrepreneurs succeed, understanding the challenges of being an "outsider." At the same time, I firmly believe that we, as immigrants, have unique advantages that are often overlooked. We have the opportunity to absorb cutting-edge ideas and best practices from both our native and adopted countries. More importantly, we can tap into special resources from our homeland.

Immigrant founders can achieve remarkable things by staying true to our roots while fully immersing ourselves with the new environments and cultures. I hope to eventually demonstrate this through my own journey.

If ever I can be successful one day, 99% of immigrant entrepreneurs can be successful too. Afterall, I am the least special immigrant.
