Matt A. Murphy is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cascala Health, an AI-enabled care transitions platform that elevate patient care and network engagement, leading to improved financial, clinical, and operational performance for VBC organizations. Launched in early 2024, Cascala is an operating company under Redesign Health, supported by seed funding from Redesign & Flare Capital Partners FSV fund.

As a passionate healthcare innovator, Matt has dedicated his career to launching and scaling digital health companies within the value-based care ecosystem. He currently serves as an advisor to early-stage digital health startups, including Bambi NEMT. Previously, he led strategy and partnerships for Dock Health.

In his most recent 0-to-1 startup experience at Cohere Health, Matt served as Executive Vice President of Clinical Development. There, he launched a digital prior authorization and care transformation platform for over 5 million Medicare and commercially insured beneficiaries across all 50 states. Upon joining Cohere, the company was pre-revenue with just five employees. Matt's leadership propelled Cohere to significant growth within 18 months, achieving over $30M in revenues, expanding to over 500 employees, and establishing three clinical specialty lines that served over 100,000 providers.

Before Cohere, Matt helped scale Circulation Health through Series A funding to its subsequent acquisition by ModivCare Inc. (NASDAQ: MODV). Post-acquisition, he led a combined network of over 60,000 providers nationally.

Matt began his career in healthcare at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he established the hospital’s first digital health accelerator program. As an LP in the fund, he engaged with the broader startup ecosystem as a Healthcare Industry Scholar (c/o 2017) at Flare Capital Partners.

Matt fosters a culture of innovation and empathy, ensuring that improved patient care remains central to Cascala Health's mission. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Matt is now based in Boston, where he completed his undergraduate studies at Boston College. Matt's vision for the future of healthcare revolves around bridging communication gaps and leveraging technology to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.
