Natasha Vernier established and led the financial crime team at Monzo, one of the first UK fintechs to become FCA-authorised and regulated, from inception through its hyper-growth period in 2016-2020. Natasha’s experiences across accounting, banking, and tech give her unique insight into the use of technology to solve challenges in the financial crime space, the huge gap in effectiveness testing technology solutions, and the need for a company like Cable.

Natasha is deeply passionate about fighting financial crime on a global scale and tackling the immense negative social impacts associated with illicit financial flows. She is a strong advocate for creating enduring solutions to effectively reduce financial crime through close collaboration between industry, government, and technology firms.

As one of two female co-founders and a gay CEO of a company that recently raised an $11M Series A, Natasha’s experiences have inspired her dynamic leadership framework and helped to form the key principles of Cable’s unique Operating System. Natasha regularly speaks on topics including compliance, banking, technology, leadership, and entrepreneurship.
