Hi there, thanks for visiting my page.

I am the Founder and CEO of ByteChek, SANS Institute Instructor, LinkedIn Learning Instructor and advisor to countless startups.

For the past decade, I have worked in the cybersecurity industry, the last few years working as a consultant sitting in conference rooms performing cybersecurity compliance assessments for startups, mid-size companies, and fortune 100 companies.

Over these past few years I realized two things:

Compliance sucks and I was complicit in making it suck.

I launched ByteChek to Make Compliance Suck Less.

Prior to ByteChek, I spent time in the U.S. Army and at a national cybersecurity firm. Here is a little bit about who I am:

-I believe that Black Lives Matter.
-I believe that your mental health is the most important thing in your life and should be protected at all costs. No amount of success is worth sacrificing your mental health.
- I believe that the only way to fill the cybersecurity skills gap is by training and hiring more minorities and women
-My most important job title is "Dad" - I have two amazing little ones (a 6 and 4-year-old)
- I was a member of the Florida State University Basketball team from 2009-2011 and participated in back to back trips to the NCAA Tournament.
- I am from Oceanside, California, and grew up on Camp Pendleton when my father served in the United States Marines
- I am one of 9 siblings
