Daniel is a Founding General Partner of Lavrock Ventures and has served as an investor, founder, advisor, and operator with a wide variety of early-stage companies.

Prior to founding Lavrock, Daniel gained experience as an investor with JMI Equity, a tech-focused growth equity firm, where he was an active investor in software and technology-enabled services companies and was responsible for sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio company initiatives, and as the VP-Corporate Strategy & Planning with The Teaching Company, a PE-backed consumer media company, where he oversaw FP&A, corporate development, and content partnerships. He also served as a Director with Pagnato Karp, a multi-family office in Reston, VA, and he was also the founder and CEO of SnapDash, a consumer mobile app company​ in the social photography space​. He began his career as an investment banking analyst with McColl Partners.

Daniel has completed early-stage and/or growth equity transactions in various software sectors, including communications, talent management, marketing services, health care, and education.
