Brano is the Chief Investment Officer at San Francisco 49ers and Managing Partner at Aurum Partners LLC, mulit-family office fund affiliated with the owners of the San Francisco 49ers, looking to invest in all asset classes across the capital structure in both the public and private markets. In the private markets, the focus is on early stage and growth equity investment opportunities in sports, technology and adjacent markets where the portfolio companies can leverage the 49ers access and network to help drive product adoption and accelerate growth.

Aurum Partners LLC has access to both a deep and flexible pool of capital and a broad array of strategic connections. The stage agnostic approach provides flexibility and enables it to play an active role in a company’s growth throughout its lifecycle. Aurum Partners take a long-term view on all its direct investments, working closely with entrepreneurs to help build their businesses into market-leading companies.

Prior to Aurum, Brano was with Barclays’ (formerly Lehman Brothers) Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking Group (in Menlo Park and London) where he advised technology clients on a variety of corporate financing and strategic advisory transactions across Electronics, Semiconductors and Alternative Energy sectors. In addition, Brano worked with leading private equity and venture capital firms.

Brano spent several years with the Boston Consulting Group where he advised senior management of Fortune 500 companies on a broad range of assignments focusing on corporate strategy and business development.

Brano received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California at Berkeley and his MBA from Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
