SparkCharge raises $23M in Series A to make electric vehicle charging mobile and convenient

SparkCharge is a Massachusetts-based startup that has secured $23 million in Series A funding to accelerate the expansion of its innovative mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging network. The round is led by Tale Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Bank and will allow SparkCharge to expand into new markets, develop new technologies, and hire additional staff.
SparkCharge's modular charging system, called Roadie, consists of a portable battery pack and a charging station. The Roadie system can charge any electric vehicle, regardless of make or model, and is powered by any standard 110- or 220-volt outlet.
The company's goal is to eliminate the biggest obstacle to widespread EV adoption which is access to charging infrastructure. SparkCharge hopes to accelerate the transition to electric transportation and reduce the carbon footprint of the transportation industry.
SparkCharge has begun deploying its charging stations in several markets, including California, New York, and Florida. Moreover, They have partnerships with several leading EV manufacturers and fleets. The company aims to expand its reach and bring mobile EV charging.
