Riverlane, a UK-based software development startup, has raised $18.6M in a Series A funding round, with participation from prominent investors such as Amadeus Capital Partners, Molten Ventures, Cambridge Innovation Capital, and AltaIR Capital. Founded by Steve Brierley, Riverlane aims to accelerate the development of quantum computing to make it useful far sooner than previously imagined. The startup has partnered with many of the world's leading quantum computing hardware companies, labs, and governments to design and engineer new hardware and software tools for controlling inherently unstable qubits and comprehensively correcting system errors.
Their toolkit, Deltaflow, includes Deltaflow.Control and Deltaflow.Decode, which enables practical quantum error correction with maximum speed and precision. The startup's operating system for error-corrected quantum computing, Deltaflow.OS, allows them to implement their tools using every type of qubit. Riverlane collaborates with technology and academic partners to solve chemistry, physics, computing, and engineering challenges to enable quantum computing to achieve its vast potential. Riverlane is poised to transform our world with a quantum computing operating system that could be as significant as the industrial and digital revolutions.
