Optable, the Montreal-based and founded by Yves Poiré a data security software product startup, has raised a whopping $20M in its Series A funding round. With Hearst Ventures, Brightspark Ventures, asterX, and Deloitte among its investors, Optable has been making waves in the industry by providing end-to-end data clean room platforms that are integrated for activation. Publishers and advertisers alike use Optable's data clean room technology to securely plan, activate and measure advertising campaigns, redefining how online identity and personal data are used to drive the personalization of offers and content. The company uses modern, secure techniques to allow the matching of data using private instances of the platform.
Optable's technology minimizes data movement, preserves user privacy, offers data sovereignty, and guarantees compliance. The startup's strengths lie in its purpose-driven data clean rooms, direct activation, private analytics, and audience planning. Optable's customers can collaborate with their customers and partners, and their decentralized identity infrastructure allows them to build private identity graphs, while their open-source software promotes interoperability with data warehouses and other data clean rooms. With Optable's integration, activation can be done directly from the clean room, making it possible to deploy a campaign using Prebid-integrated SSPs or even directly in the Google Ad Manager.
